Gary was admitted to the State of Bar of Texas in 1998 after receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Paul Quinn College in 1994, and his Juris Doctorate from the Dedman School of Law, formerly Southern Methodist University School of Law, in 1998.
Gary has substantial experience in advising clients related to general corporate matters, contracts and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial loans, public and private securities offerings and investments, venture capital transactions, choice of entity issues, federal and state security law compliance and reporting requirements, and public finance. His experience includes representing corporations and underwriters in public offerings of debt and equity securities; representing both underwriters and issuers in private placements of both debt and equity securities; representing purchasers and sellers of both public and private corporations; representing private equity investors in the purchase of equity securities.
Gary has additional experience representing clients in the media/entertainment industry spanning a wide range of issues including radio, cable network and broadcast television, radio and television distribution affiliate agreements, syndicated television production, musical artist performances, print media and various other media properties and Internet-based entertainment ventures. His experience also includes drafting and negotiating artist, merchandising, corporate sponsorship, license and Internet agreements and consulting with clients regarding their entertainment/media and Internet strategies and the protection of their intellectual property rights.
Gary is a member of the American Bar Association and the Dallas Bar Association and an active member of his community.
