Charles was admitted to the State of Bar of Texas in 2000 after receiving two Bachelor of Arts Degrees, in Political Science and Business Marketing, from Morehouse College in 1994, and his Juris Doctor from the Dedman School of Law, formerly Southern Methodist University School of Law, in 1999.
Charles’ legal experience includes both civil and criminal litigation. He has worked for the Federal Trade Commission prosecuting persons involved in fraudulent and deceptive business practices. He has also worked for Legal Services of North Texas, protecting low income families from real state fraud and deceptive lending practices. Over the years, Charles has practiced in the areas of commercial litigation, corporate formation and operation, real estate law, criminal law, and general civil litigation. Charles currently focuses on ad valorem tax collection.
Charles is admitted to practice law before the Texas State Supreme Court. He is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers, member of the State Bar College, the American Bar Association, J.L. Turner Legal Association and the Dallas Bar Association. Charles is an active member of his church and actively participates in community development and youth mentoring programs.
