Nicole was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2000 after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Clemson University in 1992. She received her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1996. She is admitted to practice law before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
Her areas of practice include Business & Corporate Development, Commercial Litigation & Litigation Management-Federal & State Court, Corporate Finance & Corporate Transactions, Corporate Governance & Compliance, Procurement, Labor & Employment, Real Estate Acquisition, Development & Finance, Tax Strategy & Defense-Federal, State & Local.
Nicole has served in the capacity of General Counsel for a myriad of industries since 2005. Most recently her primary focus of practice has been concentrated on serving public housing entities in the capacity of General Counsel. She has experience in all areas of public housing including procurement, staff development/training, lease drafting and enforcement, litigation related to residents, landlords and contractors, and Board development/training. Her experience also encompasses in the areas of for-profit entities that serve the low-income housing community, governed by HUD authority. In addition, Ms. Taylor has served as counsel for transportation authorities and municipalities since 2006.
Nicole is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Harmony Community Development Corporation-Concord Church, City of Wilmer 4A Economic Development Board, and the City of Wilmer 4B Economic Development Board.
