Julius serves as “Of Counsel” for the Firm. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1999 after receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1994, and his Juris Doctor Degree from the Dedman School of Law, formerly Southern Methodist University School of Law, in 1999. He is also a licensed Escrow Officer with the State of Texas. His experience includes serving as Associate/Senior Associate for the professional services firms of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte & Touche where he was involved in state and federal corporate income tax and consultation, research and development tax credits, dispute resolution and negotiation of tax credits and incentives. He has been in private transactional based legal practice since 2002.
He has extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate transactions, including HUD multi-family transactions representing borrowers and providing title insurance, commercial real estate leases, foreclosures and evictions, loan workouts, ad valorem taxation, corporate formation and operations, choice of entity based on tax and legal consequences, business law matters and contracts. He also has substantial experience in formation and operation of non-profit organizations, drafting and negotiating licensing agreements, artist agreements, copyright and trademark applications and representation of sports agents and athletes in pre-draft and post-draft activities.
Julius is an active member of his church, The McKinney First Baptist Church, where he serves on the Church Advisory Council. He also serves on the Guide Right Foundation Board of the Richardson/Plano Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi where the organization provides leadership training and mentoring to young men in the local community.
