West & Associates Senior Associate selected for REPTL Academy

HOUSTON – West & Associates, L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Senior Associate Attorney Michael Lactson has been selected to participate in the 2018-2019 State Bar of Texas, REPTL (Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law) Leadership Academy.

Lactson was selected along highly qualified candidates based on his qualifications and areas and practice.

The purpose of the REPTL Leadership Academy was designed and developed to assist up-and-coming Texas attorneys with the ins and outs of the real estate, probate, and trust law areas of practice by providing:

• Opportunities to meet and network with other Leadership Academy participants and learn leadership skills

• Opportunities to be mentored by REPTL Council and Committee Chair members for successful participation in committee leadership

• Involvement in special projects which may include writing for a REPTL publication or participation at a Section CLE event

• Participation in important Section leadership meetings

Attorney Lactson was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2009 after receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003, and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 2008.

Michael’s primary practice areas are Real Estate, Public Finance and Business Transactions.  In addition, his practice areas have also consisted of Non-Profit Advocacy, and Governmental Relations.
